Barcelona – a Family Trip to Gaudí’s Masterpieces
Barcelona is undisputedly one of the most visited cities in Europe and one with fascination of its own. And how could it be otherwise – with a combination of sunny weather, unique architecture, green hills and beaches, it’s the ideal touristic destination.
Although Spain has always been a very tempting destination for me because of the weather, culture and mentality, the urge for this holiday was actually from my family. My sister and my mum hopped on the plane from Sofia airport and I did the same from London Gatwick and the three of us met at Barcelona airport, thrilled to explore this wonderful city together.
Tenerife – Island Adventures
Different people have different understanding and preferences on how they spend their holidays but in general we can be summarized in two types – people lounging by the pool, who enjoy relaxing on the beach, by the pool or at the spa with a cool drink and tasty snacks, actively relaxing both their body and mind, and explorers, who prosper in activities such as trekking mountains or taking cultural tours, who enrich their lives by experiencing more of the history, culture and natural surroundings. Regardless which one of the two categories you fit in, I invite you to embark on two interesting and fun journeys with me 🙂
Tenerife – the Exotic Volcanic Island
I’ve been reading travel guides and admiring picturesque photos of distant places for years. Somehow in my mind I’ve always associated pure exoticness with islands.
I’ve been blessed to visit a magnificent island recently – Tenerife, one of the seven larger Canary Islands
and taking pride of being the largest, most populated and most visited of the Canaries. Part of an autonomous community of Spain located in the Atlantic Ocean, Tenerife is actually located closer to Africa ( 300km ) than to Spain ( 1,000km ).
It lies at the same latitude as the Sahara Desert, which explains its warm tropical climate with exotic vegetation including palms, cacti, aloe
A Scottish Fairy Tale
In the season of holidays, I would like to share with you my experiences on a recent holiday to Scotland. In my mind I have always associated Scotland with lush green meadows, proud heroic people and enchanting castles. What I discovered proved those assumptions and much more.
The flight to Edinburgh from London Heathrow was about an hour and a half long.
After the pleasant evening flight, we landed to a very cold, windy weather.
It was late September but I would happily change my autumn trench coat to a winter jacket if I could. During the short drive to the hotel, I was staring out of the taxi window in the dark night to get my first impression of this prominent city.
When Forcing Doesn’t Work, Try Flowing
Do you feel like life is a marathon, you’re only focused to get to that important finish line and then your life will incur a magical makeover, you’ll turn into a movie star, princess or whatever your image for brilliant success is? Have you ever wondered if there is another way of experiencing life, which is more pleasurable and fun?
The general opinion and media imply that we have to ‘work hard’ and make things happen, or ‘force yourself to your upper limit and don’t stop until you get what you want’.
This can be summarized in one word – control. And I have to admit – I have issues with control.
How to Express Yourself Creatively and Detach from the Outcome
Have you ever thought what might be your creative outlet? Do you take pride in looking after your garden, catch yourself you like to talk in front of people or you’re a master baker? Do you have a passion for fashion or take pleasure in sewing or knitting pieces of clothing? Just to name a few, there are hundreds of ways you can express yourself creatively.
We’ve been raised with the idea that you have to be an artist in order to be creative.
A Return to the Roots
In the end of October I was on autumn vacation in Bulgaria. As summer is usually the preferred time for travelling because of the tempting beaches and scorching sun, I have forgotten what autumn was like in Bulgaria.
We went for a short trip in North-Central Bulgaria with my sister, my mum and her colleagues.
I love those trips with family as they make me feel child again and that’s such a precious feeling.
The Creative Routines of the Geniuses
Today we talk a lot about time management and what strategies we can implement to be more productive and efficient. Recently this has become a very hot topic as we lead busy lives and with the development of technologies, it has become more difficult to concentrate as it was 10 years ago.
However, being able to clarify your priorities and build an effective routine is not a New Age invention at all.
We can take invaluable advice and bulb moments from some of the most influential and renowned people of all time.
Have a glimpse at their creative routines and see if there are any ideas you might take on and carry out in your life:

5 Lessons Learnt from My First Year in Blogging
My blog was officially up and running on 22nd December 2015. It’s the online implementation of the dream I used to have for years – to write articles that help people achieve their dreams and goals by sharing bits of personal stories and friendly advice in the areas of self-esteem, inspiration, career and development, relationships and travel.
One year later, I can honestly say that this journey has started changing my life.
And not because I became extremely popular or successful, but because I began making conscious effort to walk my talk – to face life challenges and handle them from a point of higher understanding and wisdom, as I advise my readers.
If you’re about to start a business, a new career path or you’re just considering a change, here are a few tips I learnt from this first year in the online industry:
